Ron and Kari decided to take a passion and make it into a business. The couple was born and raised in the Midwest and are no strangers to the heart of this country - Agriculture.
Ron grew up on a farm near Terril, Iowa. After high school, Ron enlisted into the military and proudly served our country for 20 years in the United States Airforce. In 2005, he met Kari Kirkeby and they married two years shy of his retirement. The couple settled near Kari's hometown of Brandon and started a family.
Being an avid fisherman and hunter, Ron became quite skilled at not only cutting meat, but also making his own signature recipes for jerky and deer sticks. It was not long before his desire grew to butcher his own beef and pork.
Several years ago, Ron and his brothers purchased a couple of steers and butchered them for their families. The quality of the meat was enticing and led to more butchering, Before long, hogs were added to the list and the families were loving the fresh meat.
In the summer of 2020, the couple purchased land east of Sioux Falls and decided to take Ron's passion for butchering and make it into a business. In 2021, Borderline Butchering was established.
The couple believes in providing a service that not only meets the expectations of their customers but exceeds it.
